My name is Bro. Carl Hayes. I am blessed and honored to serve as the current president of the First chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. in the state of Arkansas, known as Pi Lambda.
Our great chapter was charted in 1926 and we have been serving Pulaski County and the surrounding areas every since. The focus of our chapter is based upon Brotherhood, Community Service and Scholarship.
First of All, Servants of All, We Shall Transcend All. That is the motto of our dear fraternity. We are proud sponsors of our National programs such as Project Alpha, Go to High School, Go to College (GTHSGTC), and A Voteless People is a Hopeless People. We are here to serve our city and community in numerous ways such as Back to school drives, Toy drives, Neighborhood Cleanup and Juneteenth Celebrations to name a few. In addition, we partner with our 5013C organization, Central Arkansas Sphinx Foundation, to present the Annual Debutante Ball for the young ladies and the MLK Scholarship for young men.
